Ye HISTORIE of JACK O’ LANTHORNE,
or, The Devil’s Spark
A Play for Marionettes by Adam Bolivar

DISCOVER the ELDRITCH ORIGINS of HALLOWEEN!

Unable to settle his bill at Ye Toad and Crow tavern, Jack strikes an unspeakable bargain with a sinister nicknevin known only as Old Scratch. But Jack has a few tricks up his sleeve, and pulls a fast one on the hobhoulard to get away scot-free. When it comes time for his final reckoning, however, Jack finds himself turned away from both Heaven & Hell. What's a poor soul to do? Find out in the original tale of Hallowe'en itself: Ye HISTORIE OF JACK O' LANTHORNE, a rollicking verse-play uncannily performed by means of marionettes.

This chapbook reproduces the script for Adam Bolivar's jaunty and cacodaemoniacal verse-play of the same title, which is performed on occasion by a group of desperate souls calling themselves The Jackanapes Marionette Guignol.

8-page chapbook, full color on 80 lb gloss, saddle stitched, 5.5" x 8.5"

All orders also include A FIEND'S GLOSSARY, a demonic cheat sheet which playfully expounds on some of the more obscure and archaic words used in Ye HISTORIE.

Adam Bolivar is a Romantic poet whose work has appeared in such publications as Black Wings VI, Spectral Realms, and The Audient Void.
